About Me.
Hello! My name is Bill Roehm (Reem). I'm your host, creator, and facilitator of the Where Have You Been? podcast. Here's a brief rundown on how it all came to be.
As a child, I traveled with my parents to Florida and Cape Cod on an almost annual basis. That was the extent of travel for me - until, in 2016, I ventured outside of North America and landed in Athens, Santorini, and Rome. At that time, my eyes were opened to what travel really is and realized that it needed to be a part of my life moving forward. Since that time, I've been to many places (some more than once - or even twice) including Costa Rica, Columbia, Peru, Puerto Rico, back to Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, countless cities in the U.S., and more. My travels have truly changed my life.
I became a banker, and eventually, a manager for one of the largest banks in the United States. Part of my job is to have real, honest conversations with clients. All I know is that every time the topic of travel came up, anyone I was sitting with and I would become kids. Talking and sharing - amazed and intrigued by each other's stories. Sharing and laughing...and would have to force ourselves to stop talking. I realized that those that are passionate about travel not only love to tell their stories, but also love to hear them from others. It was at that moment that I realized a podcast was in my future.
I have 7+ years of radio experience as a former jock and that has helped me with my conversation skills. I also am a very compassionate and caring person and made the decision that it would be a shame to have people's amazing travel experiences go to the grave with them - when I can become a facilitator to bring those stories to the world where they can live on forever and influence, inspire, and touch the lives of others. That is what I am trying to do with my podcast and, so far, through feedback I have received, I believe I'm on the right path.
I hope you will join me on my journey.
